Dear 8A,

Are you ready for yet another year of English?

This autumn, we will go on a journey to a huge country in the west. Can you guess which one?
We will start way back in history, but to give you just a hint of what is to come, here are some movie trailers for you.

Now, I am not going to promise you that we are going to watch all three of these movies, but we are going to discover the stories around them, and a great deal more of this magnificent country: USA, and one of its major cities: New York.

Starting up, 7C

We are going to travel around the world together, and discover what it is like to live in different countries where English is spoken. We are going to learn a lot about places and the people who live there. We are going to learn loads of new words, and learn how to use them in different situations. We are going to listen, read, speak and write, of course, but most important of all, we are going to have fun!

So, are you ready to take off?

Our first stop on this adventure will be the big country down under, where kangaroos and koalas live. Have you already guessed? YES, of course it is AUSTRALIA.

Before we start, I want you to think really hard about what you already know about Australia. Have you been there? Have someone you know been there? Have you read any books, och seen any films about Australia?

The first Australia lesson will start with a brainstorm, to see what you already know, and then we will go from there to learn more about the things you don't already know.

Grovplanering 8A svenska LÅ 2014-15

Under läsåret 2014-2015 kommer vi att, i stora drag, arbeta med följande moment:

HT 2014:

·         Ungdomslitteratur – utgå ifrån kapitlet i Portal s. 127-132.
·         Gemensam läsning av I taket lyser stjärnorna + bokprat.
·         Film – filmteori, repetition av dramaturgiska kurvan, samt filmanalys.
        Film: I taket lyser stjärnorna + jämförande skrivuppgift.
·         Litteraturteori – Romaner och noveller.
        -          Läsa och analysera en novell.
        -          Skriva en egen novell – återknyt till att skriva skönlitterärt.
·         Tema framtiden
        Framtidsskildringar – Science Fiction och Dystopier

VT 2015:

·        Språkbruk.

-          Människan och språket.

-          Nya ord.

-          Språkhistoria.

-          Grannspråk och minoritetsspråk.

·         Tidningstexter/publicering.

• Vi kommer dessutom att arbeta i en del ämnesövergripande projekt under läsåret.

Grovplanering 9B svenska LÅ 2014-15

Under läsåret kommer vi att, i stora drag, jobba med följande ämnesområden:

HT 2014:

·         Jobba vidare med tidningstexter: reportage, recension, insändare, debattartikel.

·         Skönlitteraturens historia i sju kapitel. Tema/projektarbete.

·         Argumentation/tal i olika medier.

VT 2015:

·         Repetition av skrivregler, utveckla ditt skrivande, samt texttyperna.

·         Vetenskapliga texter (samarbete med NO) + informationssökning/sammanställning, källkritik/hantering.

·         Dialekter/sociolekter.

Under vårterminen kommer också det nationella provet att ligga, och det är inför detta vi kommer att ta en översiktlig repetition av skrivregler och texttyper.
